The Great Wave off Kanagawa

Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai created the Great Wave off Kanagawa around 1829 and 1833 as a woodblock print. The image shows an enormous blue wave threatening fishing boats just off the coast of the town of Kanagawa. You can just about spot Mount Fuji in the background. This is one of the most iconic pieces of Japanese wall art and deserves pride of place.

This is available as a canvas wall hanging which is made from our fine art canvas and it is trimmed at the top and bottom with a stylish oak poster hanger. A leather adjustable cord allows you to hang your art at exactly the right height.

Our prints are museum-quality prints. We use 100% archival paper or canvas and archival inks, resulting in beautiful prints with rich and vivid colours that will last for generations to come
